Background and rationale
Indoor air pollution represents a significant public health challenge, particularly for individuals with chronic respiratory conditions and older adults who spend more than 90% of their time indoors. The K-HEALTHinAIR project addresses this challenge through pilot implementations in diverse real-life settings, testing innovative solutions for monitoring, assessing, and improving indoor air quality while developing integrated care models that bridge the gap between environmental exposure and clinical management.
Scope and purpose
This second K-HEALTHinAIR webinar focuses on the impact of indoor air quality (IAQ) on human health. Building on the project's pilot activities, the session brings together patients, clinicians, and researchers to share preliminary findings, practical experiences, and innovative approaches to IAQ management in vulnerable populations. The pilot implementation within K-HEALTHinAIR project aims to explore innovative ways to monitor, assess, and improve indoor air quality in different real-life settings.
Objectives
Format and duration
The webinar will take place online and will include four short presentations (10–15 minutes each), followed by a Q&A and discussion. The session will combine scientific, clinical, and user perspectives, offering a comprehensive view of the project’s work on indoor air and health.
